Online casino campaign to start in Germany
01 Dec 2006
An Austrian-listed online casino firm is planning an internet gambling awareness campaign in Germany.
The campaign has been formed to raise the German public's understanding of impending legal developments, according to Online Casino Reports.
Overall, the organisers of the operation want to spread the message of keeping online casinos free to operate in the country.
Moves have been made to raise consciousness before the landers of all 16 German provinces meet on December 13th 2006 to discuss the new lottery bill's content.
Commenting on the topic, Manfred Bodner, co-chief executive officer of the online casinos group, said: "This is a common initiative instigated by all the parties that are being damaged by political manoeuvres."
Bulletin boards around the country have contained messages arguing for Germans to have access to free online betting.
Famous German poker players include Al Ruck, Michael Keiner and Eddy Scharf.
